Day 1: Know Your Business
Knowing Your Business is by far the best thing any business owner, employee, staff member, stakeholder can do to contribute to the success of the organization.
By knowing your business, I mean knowing what your industry is, what the standards are, what it takes to be in business in your industry. Know the ins and outs of your business. Know the rules and regulations of your organization's governing body. If there is a Federal or state governing body or even an association then by all means, know what their expectations are for any organization in your line of business.
Once you have that under control then you can start the planning and implementation part of your business.You will then be ready to execute and deliver on your commitment to your customers/clients and most of all to your staff.
