When Was The Last Time You Had A One-on-One Talk With Your Customers?
(not just top tier customers)
Seriously, when was the last time you had a conversation with your customers?
"Did you find everything you needed" is not a conversation!
When was the last time you had a conversation with a first time customer, a one time customer, a long time customer, a low-dollar customer, a high dollar customer?
If you have not done it, then it is time you get into the habit of doing it.
You will be surprised at how much you will learn from those customers. By conversing with a broad range of your customer base you get a better feel for what you are doing right (long time & high dollar), what you are doing wrong (one-time), and what is enticing enough to get customers in the front door (first timers).
You can either invite them to lunch, coffee, a meeting at your location, or better still go to their place. People tend to be more candid when they feel comfortable so let them dictate the where and the pace of the conversation.
Until Tomorrow,
