What to do after a long weekend?

Today is the first day back to work for many of us after a long weekend of taking it easy, barbecues, reflecting, and commemorating. In the United States, this past weekend was the Memorial Day weekend.

It is the one day a year that we as a nation stop to remember those men and women that have died while in service to our country. We pause and honor our war dead for they went into harm's way and paid the ultimate price.

Yet, today many of us pick up where we left off on the last day of work, last week. There is nothing wrong with that so long as we don't forget what Memorial Day is all about and like Christmas we should keep it in our hearts every day!

So as we get back to work, we honor those fallen heroes by doing what we do every day to keep America moving and growing. So let's get back to work and remember that our ability to work in a Free Democracy was paid in the sweat, tears, and with the blood of those that will never again walk through the front door.

Honor them in the best way that you can and that's by being the best you can be. Doing so will ensure that their deaths were not in vain.

Thank you,
