50 Ways To Better Business: #35: Cut Ice Cream With A Knife

The ice cream scoop was invented for one thing and one thing only: NOT TO SCOOP OUT ICE CREAM

Seriously, when was the last time you scooped iced cream out of a gallon container and not get ice cream on you hand(s)?

Now apply this to your business. When was the last time you did something that you really wanted to do but knew that it was going to be a messy process getting it done?

Well, whatever that is try something different to get not as messy. Think outside the box (or the container in this case) and get the job done from an entirely different perspective.

Let's go back to the ice cream so you can see what I am talking about. If you know you are going to serve the entire container then throw away the scoop and break out a serrated kitchen knife. Cut the container in half. The remove the carton from one half and begin slicing the ice cream. Then repeat with the second half. Serve. Enjoy because your knuckles did NOT scrape against the inside of the ice cream container.

Important: make certain that the ice cream is as cold as it can get.

Until Tomorrow,
