Rio Records Service, Inc., believes that only way to be prepared for the unexpected to always be training. This is something that I have carried with me since my time with US Army. Always Be Training.
That's the ABCs of it.
A for Always
B for Be
C for cTraining (the c is silent)
We also firmly believe in the following quote: "The more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war." I am not too sure who said it first, some say General Patton said it others say it is a old Chinese Proverb. It does not matter who said it, what does matter is that it is very true. The more one prepares the more one is ready to deal with any new situation that arises. By now, in a professional lives we know that new situations can and do arise at almost any time with little to no warning. Typically, no warning.
When any new situation arises it is best if there is at least one person in the organization who has a clue on how to handle it. Now it may be something that arose a long time ago and has now taken a new form but the core is still the same then solving it should be relatively easy.
However, more times than not the situation is new and has to be dealt with immediately and a unique solution has to be found and put into place. By training and more training, individuals and organizations can greatly reduce the fallout of any unknown that may occur.
Therefore, Rio records Service Inc., has taken the lead in developing professional development and training services for organizations, agencies, and course, individuals.
Currently, we offer "Professional Etiquette in Healthcare", "Business Etiquette and Personal Skills", "Etiquette in a Professional Setting", "Release of Medical Information", "The Do's and Don'ts of Social Media in Healthcare", "The Do's and Don'ts of Social Media in a Professional Setting", and our latest offering: "Protecting your Information and your Client's Data". More training offerings are due to come on line in early 2014.
The following workshops are CEU eligible for State of Texas Licensed Professional Counselors and Certified Social Workers:
1. Protecting your information and your Client's the Data
2. Professional Etiquette in Healthcare
3. Release of Medical Information
The scope of all the training sessions may appear to be towards the health and human services professionals however, the true focus of the training sessions are geared towards any organization that deals with customers, clients, or patients. This means that all individuals, groups, companies, and organizations can benefit from any of the training service offerings by Rio records Service Inc.
Our training calendar is prepared in a manner that helps any individual or organization to plan properly. The training calendar is set up in a way that even those individuals that have difficulty obtaining " time off" to attend regular daytime training sessions. When a training session is scheduled on the Wednesday rest assured that the start time of the training will be at 6:00 PM. Additionally, we offer training sessions every other Saturday starting at 10:00 AM and depending on the workshop the ending time there be 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM. Of course, Rio records Service Inc., can adjust its start time when training is conducted at your location.

50 Ways To Better Business: #45: Be Prepared
In this 24/7 always on world there are very few things that catch us off guard. However, for some strange reason or another many individuals and organizations are still caught off guard, unprepared, if you will by weather events (severe storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, extreme heat, extreme cold, and so on).
Seriously, in 2013 how can anyone still get caught off guard? We have doppler radar that can show us a storm forming over 286 miles away, we have weather satellites that can show a dust cloud blowing off the coast of the African continent and watch it all the way into the Gulf of Mexico and form as a Hurricane. We have the Internet with its Twitter, Flickr, Facebook, giving us constant updates from real human beings as situations unfold and we still have people caught with their pants down.
Folks, there is absolutely no need to be unprepared. There is a CONSTANT need to stay INFORMED and BE PREPARED. Any business owner, worth his salt wants to make certain that they are on top of the latest news and weather. Especially, when either one of those things can directly impact your business in either a positive or negative manner.
If you are reading this online (and you most certainly are) then you are already halfway to being prepared and informed. Keep It Up!
Did you know that you can set your web browser to open multiple pages at one time? Yep, with tab browsing you can have multiple pages open when you start Firefox or Chrome or Internet Explorer. As a rule since tab browsing became the norm I have had either WeatherUnderground.com or Weather.com as one of the pages that opens along with either CNN.com or USATODAY.com and of course my personal website.
What I am getting at is that each morning after I have fired up my PC I know I am going to get access to the latest information in the form of NEWS and WEATHER long before I even think of turning on my television. That way I am not blindsided by the sudden down pour on my way home from work or wondering why the store shelves are empty and not a single size D Battery can be found.
Remember: "Life is unpredictable. And there’s a big difference between being scared and being prepared. Always be prepared."
Until Next Time,
Dave Guerra
