50 Ways To Better Business: #23: The Last Time You Reviewed Company Manuals

When Was The Last Time You Reviewed Your Company Policy and Procedure Manual?

This is one of those items your HAVE to review on a constant and consistent basis.

Things to look for:
1. Outdated information
2. New Governance
3. Incomplete Sections
4. Overly elaborate sections (remember K.I.S.S.)
5. Does Everyone have a copy

Things to remember when ADDS, CHANGES, and DELETIONS are made:
1. PROOF everything
2. Can it be understood by everyone
3. Ensure Everyone Gets a Copy
4. Ensure EVERYONE signs a receipt for receiving the copy
5. Ensure that EVERYONE is VERBALLY trained on the new content
6. Ensure that EVERYONE signs a receipt that they have received the training
7. Prepare FOLLOW UP training (six months to 1 year)
